On 17/10/2011, in Vientiane - Laos, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) signed an MOU with Lao Institute of Posts &Telecommunications on cooperation in human resources training and development in the industry of Posts Telecommunications and Information Technology . OPENING TRAINING COURSE ON FORSTERING LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOR THE LEADERS OF VNPT MEMBERS
On October 17th, 2011, the opening ceremony of the training course called "Fostering leadership skills was held in Hanoi. This is a course offered to the Directors and Deputy Directors of the VNPT members under the BCC program in 2011 between the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) with and Orange France Telecoms.

RIPT's 45TH ANNIVERSARY AND WELCOMING THE FIRST CLASS INDEPENDENCE MEDAL
This morning, on 09.17.2011, the Research Institute of Posts & Telecommunications - of the PTIT celebrated its 45th establishment anniversary (17/9/1966- 9/17/2011) and welcomed the First Class Independence Medal; at the same time, the PTIT also celebrated its Traditional Anniversary.

PTIT HAS OBTAINED A TRAINING PERMIT FOR MAJOR OF DESIGN & CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA
On 08.26.2011, the PTIT officially became the first University being granted a training permit for the Major of Multimedia Technology in Vietnam. Recently, Malaysia Multimedia University has signed a memorandum on comprehensive cooperation with the PTIT in order to co-exploit the training program and lecturer, student exchange in the field of Technology, Design and Creative Multimedia

THE PTIT LAUNCHED THE EDUCATION PROGRAM MAJORING IN MULTIMEDIA TECHNOLOGY
From the 2011-2012 academic year, the Posts & Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), an affiliation unit of VNPT is going to officially launch the education program majoring in Multimedia Technology. With this event, the PTIT will be the first University in Vietnam developing this major.

On 2/8/2011, the Posts & Telecommunications Institute of Technology held a forum on the strategic orientation for the period from 2011 to 2015. Attending the forum, there were Mr. Pham Long Tran - Chairman of the Member Board of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Mr. Hoang Huy Loat - Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications, the leadership representatives of the VNPT's functional Departments, the former leaders of the PTIT over the periods, and all officials and employees of the PTIT.

At 9.30 a.m on 11/06/2011 (local time), Posts & Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) held the opening ceremony of an international training course on: “FIBER TO THE HOME (FTTx) AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS” for the technical staff in Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications Industry at the Telecommunications and Postal Training Center (TPTC), MPT in the city of Yangon - Myanmar.

OPENING TRAINING COURSE ON "FOSTERING COMPETENCE & PROFICIENCY IN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND DOING BUSINESS FOR DIRECTORS, DEPUTY DIRECTORS OF TELECOMS CENTERS" UNDER VNPT GROUP
The training course on "Fostering competence and proficiency in financial management and doing business" was designed and developed to provide the learners with the specialized knowledge of accounting, financial and business operations as well as methods to manage effectively this field. The training course focuses on solving practical problems in the business administration and management of the Telecoms Centers, especially in sales management through exchange, discussion of situations.

The objective of the distance university training system of PTIT is to help learners have the opportunity to complete their university knowledge, expand their knowledge, enhance their educational qualifications, professional skills in order to improve their lives, create opportunities of stable jobs, development and job promotion, adapting to social life and increasing requirements on the job; wishing to contribute to human resource training and development for industrialization and modernization of the homeland.

On 19 May, 2011, PTITheld a ceremony to announce the appointment of Deputy Director of Center for Development of Information Technology (CDIT). Attending the ceremony there was the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Minh, President of PTIT, Mr. Pham Kim Lan - Vice-Secretary of Party Committee , Office Manager, Chairman of Trade Union of PTIT, the representatives of functional departments, units of of PTIT, the Leaders and key officials of CDIT.

On the morning of 5/18/2011, at Hanoi Training Campus of Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology a working meeting with Mr. Kazuhiro Kawano - President of Panasonic Scholarship Office in Vietnam took place. Attending the meeting for the PTIT’s Leadership there was the presence of Assoc. On the evening of 05/18/2011, in the Hall of Hanoi Training Campus, the singing contest final of the PTIT's students of the 5th time, 2011 was jubilantly held in the exciting atmosphere for welcoming the Nation's unification day and the 111th birthday of great President Ho Chi Minh.

In order to honor and encourage the creative learning spirit to emerge in the academic and study process by the students and the teaching staff's efforts and endeavor in the teaching, guiding students of Post & Telecommunication the Institute of Technology, on 5/13/2011 afternoon, the Institute held a ceremony to reward the individuals and collectives of the students and teachers who have participated in the 2011 National Mathematic Olympiad and the ACM/ ICPC Programming Competition and have brought the Institute the achievements worth to be praised .
